Sheriff Immigration Cooperation

Oregon Sheriff’s are doing their best to protect you regardless of State Law that says they can not cooperate with Federal Agencies on Immigration Violators.

In Oregon, the state has threatened Sheriffs with revokation of their Law Enforcement Certification if they cooperate with Federal immigration operations. That revokation would prevent them from taking on a Sheriff’s role in other states as well as Oregon. They would basically arrest one alien in trade for never catching another one and losing their livelihood/ability to protect you. For that reason, Oregon Sheriffs have taken the position of not participating in operations. However, they have also taken the position that there are other ways in which they can help remove illegals from our midst. One way they do this is to report to the FBI anyone in their custody that has any sort of Federal Warrant for their arrest. This includes Federally issued immigration warrants. It is a delicate dance, and it is not perfect. However, in my estimation, the Oregon Sheriffs have reasonably concluded that we are all better off with them doing as much as they can with their hands tied than we would be with woke replacements that would almost certainly come on scene if they were ejected from office.

I am not happy with this arrangement because in some ways it amounts to a violation of oath by these Sheriffs. However, in the greater scheme of things it shows that they have a commitment to protecting “US” that transcends both Federal and State laws. I also have faith that City, County and State Sanctuary status will soon be delcared unConstitutional which will remove the fetters from our Sheriffs. When that happens, we will be eternally thankful that they protected “US” from the death that would result from woke Sheriffs.

Honestly, I do not find this answer to be fully satisfying. But I do believe that it is the best answer for now. The real issue is that we never should have allowed DC politicians to get “US” send us down the road into this predicament back in the 1960’s. That is why I always say that I can not fix these things without “US”. We must stand, and stand together for “US” to correct issues like this so that our front line protectors are not forced to play in these grey areas in the future.
