Is Being a Politician a Bad Thing?

I often come across people who say, “Politicians are the problem, not the answer.”

It is hard to argue with the statement, “Politicians are the problem.” However, there must be leaders and by default, those leaders fall into the category of being “politicians.”

I do not enjoy the moniker, nor its implications, because I am a Patriot Servant Leader who serves as an Elected Official. I accept the label “politician” applied to the very important function I serve because it is the colloquial term for my position. Because of that I accept the misplaced negativity people direct toward my efforts as a result of my predecessors.

This is what I must do if I want the world to be better.
