The Destruction of Everything Good

There is a repeating pattern. If you watch the progression of the Progressive movement, it becomes obvious that their only goal is to DESTROY everything (or at least everything good).

In 2020 Authoritarian Progressives almost completely destroyed the downtown economies of every large city in the United States. The Progressive left Forced selective businesses to close based on their Communist like arbitrary decisions about who is “essential.” They also disenfranchising customers with onerous rules that forced customers to wear masks in public and only remove them briefly between bites of food, and stand 6 feet apart from each other. The resulting destruction of businesses, and real estate investments, resulted in one of the biggest transfers of wealth from small investors to huge hedge funds in our nation’s history. Now with Downtown Landlords hemorrhaging cash like the Columbia River flow due to an average 31.9% vacancy rate (as of 4/6/26), the Progressive Democrats of the Portland City Council now want to hit those landlords with a Vacancy Tax. This new tax will destroy the smaller investors and drive out the large ones, putting the final nail in the coffin of Downtown Portland.

The worst part of this is that this is a repeated pattern for Democrats all over the nation, including the current OR District 6 Congresswoman who continues to double down on wasteful policies that damage our lands and drain our pocketbooks in efforts to end various imaginary hazards like climate change. It truly seems that there is nothing that Democrats have done wrong that they are not willing to make worse.
