The Oath

Categories :

I can not recall when I first took the oath.

“I PLEDGE MY LIFE, MY FORTUNE, AND MY SACRED HONOR TO DEFEND THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.”

I believe I was a teenager at the time. This country has always meant everything to me.

Does The USA have meaning for you?
What?
Does the Constitution have meaning for you?

Have you taken The Oath?
(if you have, say so, stand proud that you have, and enroll other Patriots to stand with you)

Remember, if you take the Oath and you honor your word, God will protect you.

Psalms 15:1 – 5 1LORD, who may dwell in your sacred tent? Who may live on your holy mountain? 2The one whose walk is blameless, who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from their heart; 3whose tongue utters no slander, who does no wrong to a neighbor, and casts no slur on others; 4who despises a vile person but honors those who fear the LORD; who keeps an oath even when it hurts, and does not change their mind; 5who lends money to the poor without interest; who does not accept a bribe against the innocent. Whoever does these things will never be shaken.

I personally swear this oath to the Constitution of the United States of America as written in the year 1776 AD, and amended as of January 19, 2021 AD. Changes after that date are subject to review and consideration for amendment to my specific Oath.

Today (January 20, 2021) our new president painted a large portion of our Citizens as extremists, white supremacists, privileged, lawless and violent in his inaugural speech. For some reason, I do not believe that he was addressing the people who truly have shown themselves to be such in the last 12 months. He also called “the rest” of the people in the USA to arms against the group he unjustly condemns. This is in no way unifying nor peaceful. He even had the nerve to invoke the name Dr. Martin Luther King while he stood there and spoke against everything Dr. King stood for. Today I fear that soon there may be many honest and descent United States Citizen who could just as well pen this letter from their jail cell.

“But though I was initially disappointed at being categorized as an extremist, as I continued to think about the matter I gradually gained a measure of satisfaction from the label. Was not Jesus an extremist for love … Was not Amos an extremist for justice: ‘Let justice roll down like waters and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.’ … And John Bunyan: ‘I will stay in jail to the end of my days before I make a butchery of my conscience.’ And Abraham Lincoln: ‘This nation cannot survive half slave and half free.’ And Thomas Jefferson: ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal….’ So the question is not whether we will be extremists, but what kind of extremists we will be. Will we be extremists for hate or for love? Will we be extremists for preservation of injustice or for the extension of justice? In that dramatic scene on Calvary’s hill three men…were [all] crucified for the same crime–the crime of extremism. Two were extremists for immorality, and thus fell below their environment. The other, Jesus Christ, was an extremist for love, truth, and goodness, and thereby rose above his environment. Perhaps the South, the nation, and the world are in dire need of creative extremists.”

— Martin Luther King, Jr., “Letter from Birmingham Jail”

I am standing up for you now and holding true to my oath. Please contribute now to support my effort.
